Travel the Rocky Mountains in Canada

The majestic Rocky Mountains offer stunning scenery, a natural wilderness setting, and action-packed adventures for a thrilling Western Canadian vacation. Soak up the stunning beauty of the glacier-fed lakes, awe-inspiring mountain peaks, waterfalls, glaciers and abundant wildlife. Begin your vacation in the beautiful city of Vancouver, travel the most scenic areas of Western Canada including 3 national parks, Jasper, Banff and Yoho before ending in Calgary.

Day 1 Vancouver Arrive in Vancouver where you will transfer to your hotel and relax or explore British Columbia's largest city.

Day 2 Vancouver-Kamloops (5 hrs) Pick up your rental car and follow the scenic Fraser Canyon into the interior of British Columbia to Kamloops. Stop at Hell's Gate where you will be transported over the narrow Fraser River gorge by airtram. You may enjoy lunch on the other side.

Day 3 Kamloops-Wells Gray Park (2 hrs) Wells Gray Park, the "Best kept secret of BC", is a spectacular wilderness area covering 540 000 hectares. Enjoy sightseeing the many sites of Wells Gray Park.

Day 4 Wells Gray Park - Jasper (4 ½ hrs) Today you will travel the scenic Yellowhead Highway to Jasper. The views of the majestic Rocky Mountains are awe-inspiring. You will see Mt. Robson, the tallest peak of the BC Rocky Mountains.

Day 5-6 Jasper National Park Jasper boasts beautiful hikes, views, and wildlife. Sites to see are Mt. Edith Cavell, Maligne Canyon, Miette Hot Springs, Jasper Tramway to name a few. Included is a Raft trip or Maligne Lake Boat cruise. Other activities could include guided hiking, horseback riding and more.

Day 7 Jasper-Banff (4 hrs) Drive the breathtaking Icefields Parkway through the most spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Stop at the Columbia Icefields and Athabasca Falls to name a few of the numerous sights to see along this highway. Enjoy your evening in the mountain resort town of Banff.

Day 8-9 Banff National Park Enjoy Banff and the many sites of the surrounding areas. Take a trip to Lake Louise with its breathtaking view, Yoho National Park, beautiful Johnston Canyon, Lake Minnewanka, Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Banff Hot Spring and more. Included is a guided hiking trip or horseback ride.

Day 10 Banff - Calgary (1 ½ hrs) Today you will drive the short distance to Calgary and drop off your rental car. Your Rocky Mountain Adventure has ended.
