				Spelunking (Caving)
				Vancouver Island is abundant with limestone caves. Horne Lake Caves offer accessible high-adventure caving in 3 different levels. Climb a waterfall, see ancient fossils, squeeze through the ceiling galleries are some of the activities you may encounter on this high adventure activity. Wet'n Wild Adventure! (3 hour caving) Ages 8 and up, no prior experience necessary. This adventure starts off with the 1.5 hr. Riverbend Cave trip and then goes on to explore two other nearby caves, the Main & Lower Caves. Here, the exploring gets a little more rugged. Some tight passages and lots of cave scrambling involved. Climb a waterfall, see ancient fossils, squeeze through the ceiling galleries on this excellent trip, a small taste of "wild" caving! High Adventure Riverbend Expedition (5 hours caving) These cavers must be 15 years or older and sign a liability waiver form. No previous climbing experience necessary. Looking for adventure? Where the family tour stops, this "High Adventure" begins. This is a wild and challenging expedition that provides instruction and experience involving basic rock climbing in this amazing underground environment. The adventure begins in the "Siphon Room" and continues down a series of vertical drops. We provide one on one instruction for inexperienced climbers and all equipment to rope your way down to a seven story waterfall known as the "Rainbarrel". This tour will involve crawling through small passages and some rugged climbing. Participants must supply sturdy footwear and warm clothing. Underground Extreme Cave Tour Program (7 hours caving) Adults and youth 15 years or older. These cavers MUST have recent rappelling experience, be 15 years or older and sign a liability waiver form. One Outdoor Rappel clinic is included. Go further than ever before! This program is an extension of the "High Adventure" expedition and will allow participants to climb and rappel in a wild cave environment. Descend the seven story Rainbarrel "ON RAPPEL" and visit the amazing "China Shop" at the very end of this amazing cave! Explorers will return to the surface by climbing back up the Rainbarrel on a wild cable ladder. Not for the faint of heart! Participants must supply sturdy footwear and warm clothing.
